STARKE, FL: The Arc of Bradford County is pleased to announce that it has received a $10,000 grant from the TJ Maxx Foundation.
The grant will be used to increase the number of individuals served who have transitioned from high school to community-based settings through employment-related programming and supports.
The organization’s current employment services opportunities have been limited, and this grant will help increase its capacity to serve individuals in the community.
The foundation presented the award to The Arc's CEO, John Williams, at the TJ Maxx Starke location grand opening.
“We are excited to receive the $10,000 from TJ Maxx to The Arc of Bradford County,” said John Williams, CEO of The Arc of Bradford County. “Their commitment to the community is evident even before they open their doors. We look forward to their partnership and investment in not only The Arc but also to the community as a whole. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with the store manager, Chelsea and her team, as well as TJ Maxx district and regional staff, to celebrate the Grand Opening of their Starke location. This donation will help provide support to the individuals whom The Arc serves in our community with intellectual and developmental differences. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the TJ Maxx Corporation for their support.”
